Welcome to Kerith House. The name Kerith is taken from the story of Elijah in 1 Kings 17.
"Then the word of the Lord came to Elijah: "Leave here, turn eastward and hide in the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordon. You will drink from the brook, and I have directed the ravens to supply you with food there."
1 Kings 17: 2-4
During the reign of evil King Ahab, Elijah predicted a severe drought that would overtake the land. This enraged King Ahab. So to protect Elijah, God instructed him to hide at Kerith Ravine where he would find water to drink and ravens to bring him food to eat. Kerith Ravine was a refuge for Elijah, just as Kerith House is a refuge for our family.
